How Sizing Works

State silhouettes are sized by their longest side, not by a fixed square. If you select 3 inches, the state outline measures 3 inches on its longest side; the other dimension varies according to the natural shape of the state. For example, Tennessee is measured by width because it is wider than it is tall, while Illinois is measured by height because it is taller than it is wide. The state shape is a cut-vinyl silhouette, not a solid square sticker background.

What size State with Name decal should I order?
We measure the selected state silhouette by its longest dimension. For a 3-inch decal, a wide state such as Tennessee will be 3 inches wide; a taller state such as Illinois will be 3 inches tall. The shorter side stays proportional to the state shape. The size does not mean a 3 × 3-inch square.
Can I choose my state?

Can I add a personalized name?

Where can I apply this decal?
Apply it to a clean, hard, smooth surface such as many tumblers, water bottles, cups, laptops or car windows. Avoid soft-matte, textured or rubberized finishes.

Yes, provided the surface is clean, hard and smooth. Some powder-coated and soft-matte finishes are not suitable for adhesive vinyl.
Is this vinyl decal waterproof?
The vinyl is water-resistant after proper application. We recommend gentle hand washing and avoiding soaking, dishwashers and microwaves.
Can I see a preview before ordering?

Does the decal have a background?
No. This is a cut vinyl decal, not a printed sticker. Once applied, only the vinyl design elements remain, without a surrounding white, clear or square sticker background.
